"Poetry is not only my creative outlet but also my voice to express both joy and sorrow. With a heart of servanthood and a mission to empower others, I strive to positively impact the world by advocating for the helpless and supporting various missions. Through the performing arts and my role as an Admission Ambassador and Peer Mentor, I aim to balance work and play while finding fulfillment in helping others within my learning community"- Danielle Parchment
Danielle's Story
My name is Danielle Alexandra Parchment. I am currently 13 years old. My family and I reside in Queens, New York. Poetry is my creative outlet, and so it is the medium through which I express myself, whether happy or sad. This book consists of poems written during my 7th and 8th-grade years.
Among the things that I enjoy doing is being an advocate for the helpless. I have a strong passion and a heart of servanthood for empowering others. This has given birth to my mission: “Educating Girls in Impoverished Places.”I am exceptionally mission-oriented. I always want to be a part of missions that seek to make provisions for hurricane/natural disaster victims, mental health support, homelessness, orphanage centers, and new student support.
I also love the Performing Arts, so I enjoy dancing, singing, acting, writing & reciting poetry, playing the violin & piano, debating, and public speaking. My parents refer to me as the outdoor kid who loves to play but also has cultivated a strong balance between work and play. I am also an Admission Ambassador and Peer Mentor at Buckley Country Day School. Besides being actively engaged in learning, serving/helping others gives me the greatest satisfaction in my learning community.
